Paul Kelly – BS, CPT, LMT, MMAT
Paul attended the University of Tennessee majoring in Exercise Science/Sports Medicine. Due to Paul’s passion for education he started studying rehabilitation and sports injury in the University Athletic Training facilities, and worked in the Strength and Conditioning program at the university for five years. He was a scholarship athlete on the varsity cheerleading program for four years and competed on the UCA Nationals team as seen on ESPN. The team won fourth, third, and second place titles during his time at the University. In 1998 he then put his knowledge of nutrition, exercise science and athletic training to the test, competing in the Knoxville Bodybuilding Classic finishing 3rd in the novice heavy weight class against 24 other competitors. Through his continued research and education he was able to take the Tennessee State Bodybuilding Championships in 2003, placing 1st in the open heavyweight class.
After graduation from the University of Tennessee; Paul continued his studies in human performance and orthopedic pain management. He attended the C.O.R.E. INSTITUTE for structural integration and orthopedic rehabilitation 98-99, receiving his License in Massage and Structural Integration. This opened up a whole new world for integrating injury prevention and human performance training.
In 1999, Paul met Erik Dalton, founder of Myoskeletal Alignment Techniques®, in Nashville, TN. He attended a continuing education workshop with Erik and was fascinated by Erik’s’ passion for understanding the human condition and how to restore its proper musculoskeletal balance. Erik Dalton researcher, advanced Rolfer®, and student of Dr. Ida Rolf, Vladimir Janda M.D., and, Phillip Greenman D.O., pioneered a revolutionary new treatment of the musculoskeletal system called Myoskeletal Alignment®. Paul started to Mentor with Erik and soon was teaching with him across the nation. This seemed to be the link that Paul was looking for to continue his understanding of the human condition. Paul currently is traveling internationally teaching Myoskeletal Alignment seminars with Erik and Independently. He continues to stay on top of the latest research and developments in all area’s related to structural therapies, nutrition, pain management, and human performance related issues.
Paul’s passion for knowledge in human performance related issues has propelled him forward giving him the opportunity to work with Olympic Gymnasts, National Football League Players, Professional Golfers Association, Marathon runners, and National Competitive Bodybuilders.
Paul also takes pride in working with some of the most difficult pathological disorders and diseases including:
Structural and Functional Scoliosis, Parkinson’s patients, Cancer patients, nerve pathologies, degenerative disc disease, internal visceral health, and many other conditions.
