What can I expect to happen during a session in the chamber?
- Take a piece of gum to help with ear equalization.
- Remove jewelry and shoes.
- Wear comfortable clothing. You may want to bring a book inside.
- Step into chamber and lay down. Relax on our comfortable pillow. (The chamber will seem smaller when deflated than it will when fully pressurized.)
- Upon entry, your therapist will seal the chamber in preparation for your treatment.
- It will take approximately one to two minutes for the chamber to inflate completely.
- After the chamber inflates, it will begin to pressurize.
- During pressurization you may experience pressure in your ears.
- Your session may range from 30 – 60 minutes. (Studies show that frequency is more important than duration of treatments.)
- Relax! You can meditate, read, talk to a friend outside the chamber or fall asleep.
- Once the timer sounds, your session is complete.
- The therapist will depressurize the chamber. (Do not try to unzip the chamber before depressurization!)
- Once the chamber is fully depressurized, the therapist will unseal the chamber and let you out.
- It is recommended that you do 5-10 sessions to see an improvement.
