Day 2 – 3 (October 17 – 18) – Pain, Posture & Performance
Preparing the Body for Life and Responding When Life Happens
Bridging manual therapy, movement science, and resilience training to help practitioners build stronger, more adaptable clients. This course explores General Physical Preparedness (GPP) as the foundation for long-term function while introducing practical Rescue Strategies that help clinicians and clients respond effectively when injuries, setbacks, falls, and movement disruptions occur.
Participants will learn assessment-driven manual therapy and movement protocols designed to improve capacity, restore confidence, and create greater adaptability throughout the lifespan. The integration of hands-on techniques and progressive movement strategies provides a framework for both prevention and recovery, helping clients remain active, independent, and resilient.
Achievable Goals:
• Practitioners can identify movement limitations that reduce resilience and increase injury risk.
• Practitioners can recognize common postural and movement compensations associated with deconditioning.
• Practitioners can apply manual therapy and movement strategies to improve function and physical capacity.
• Practitioners can implement Rescue Strategies for common setbacks such as falls, pain flare-ups, and movement dysfunctions.
Learning Objectives:
• Understand the role of General Physical Preparedness in health, longevity, and performance.
• Learn how strength, mobility, balance, and coordination influence injury resilience.
• Explore current research on aging, physical function, pain, and movement adaptation.
• Develop practical manual therapy and corrective exercise interventions that improve movement quality.
• Learn Rescue Strategy protocols to help clients recover movement confidence following injury, pain, or functional setbacks.
• Build a clinical framework that integrates preparation, prevention, and recovery into everyday practice.
• Improve client outcomes through progressive movement programming and evidence-informed manual therapy applications.
